The President of India has assented to the appointment of Justice Indra Prasana Mukherjee, Judge of Calcutta High Court as Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.
The notification issued by the Law Ministry notifies that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Indra Prasanna Mukeiji, Judge of the Calcutta High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”
