(2) Petitioner is serving as Chief Assistant in Zila Panchayat, Chamoli. According to him, there is a vacancy on the post of Administrative Officer in the office, however his claim for promotion on the said post is not being considered, even though he is eligible for promotion. (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made a representation to the competent authority, who may be directed to take decision thereupon.
(4) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by directing the competent authority to take decision on petitioner's representation, as per law, within six weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
