Heard on IA No.2 of 2026 for Money Withdrawal Application The instant appeal is preferred against the judgment and award dated 11.05.2023, passed in MAC No.4 of 2021, Smt. Sunita Devi and Others Vs. The Oriental Insurance Company and Another, by the court of Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, District Judge, Chamoli.
Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1 to 6 ("the claimants") submits that they are very poor people; they are not in a position to meet their day to day requirement. Therefore, the awarded amount may be released in their favour.
Let Rs. 5,00,000/- be released in favour of the claimants, without any security having been taken from them. The amount shall be transmitted to their respective bank accounts in the proportion as given in the impugned judgment and order.
The money withdrawal application is decided, accordingly.
