                                             WPMS No.2884 of 2024
                                             Hon'ble Pankaj Purohit, J.

Mr. Pankaj Tangwan, learned counsel for the petitioners.

2. Mr. M.S. Bisht, learned Brief Holder for the State/respondent nos.1, 2 & 4.

3. Mr. Hari Mohan Bhatia, learned counsel for respondent no.3.

4. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners, who claim to be members of respondent No. 3-association, seeking quashing of the order dated 18.05.2024 passed by respondent No. 3, whereby the membership of the petitioners was cancelled on the ground that they were working against the interests of the association.

5. It is contended by learned counsel for respondent no. 3 that the writ petition is not maintainable, as it has been filed against a private body.

6. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the view that the association is a private body, and although it was registered as a society, its registration expired way back in the year 2006. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable.

7. All pending applications stand disposed of accordingly.
