2. Mr. J. S. Bisht and Mr. S.S. Chaudhari, learned Standing Counsel for the State/respondents.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the retired employees/ widow of retired employees, who are being paid pension/family pension under the NPS or UPS Scheme. By the impugned order dated 16.01.2026, more particularly Clause 3 Kha (v), the pension of the petitioners is being stopped with immediate effect.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that prior to issuance of the impugned order, which is general in nature, no opportunity of hearing has been provided to the petitioners and the pension is being stopped with immediate effect.
6. Learned counsel for the State does not dispute the above submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners and prays for, and is granted, four weeks' time to file a counter affidavit.
7. List on 12.03.2026.
8. In the meanwhile, the effect and operation of the impugned order dated 16.01.2026 shall remain stayed qua the petitioners.
9. Urgency application and interim relief application (IA Nos.1 & 2 of 2026) stand disposed of.
