3. The short-term bail application (IA No. 1 of 2026) has been filed by the applicant seeking short-term bail in connection with FIR No. 0217 of 2025, registered under Sections 316(4), 318, 336 and 344 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, at Police Station Doiwala, District Dehradun.
4. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant's wife has undergone biopsy, IHC and PET-CT scan, wherein malignant phyllodes has been reported; that, she has been advised radiation therapy; however, due to the incarceration of the applicant, further treatment could not be carried to its logical conclusion owing to financial constraints. It is further submitted that the applicant is the sole caretaker of his wife, as their son has already left the parental home, and therefore, the presence of the applicant is sought for saving the life of his wife.
5. Learned counsel for the State has sought instructions and does not deny the medical condition of the wife of the accused.
6. Accordingly, short-term bail for a period of six weeks is granted to the applicant from the date of his release, on his furnishing a personal bond and two sureties, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Court concerned.
7. It is made clear that after completion of the aforesaid period of six weeks, the applicant shall surrender immediately before the concerned Jail Authority forthwith.
8. Accordingly, the short-term bail application is allowed.
