This contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the Order dated 24.03.2025, passed in Writ Petition No. 93 of 2023 (S/S), "Smt. Shakuntla Vs. State of Uttarakhand and Others". By the said Order, the following directions were issued :-
"12. The respondents are directed to pay post retiral dues and pension to the petitioner forthwith without making any recovery.
13. The petitioner is also be entitled to interest at the rate of 9 per cent from the date when it became due till actual payment is received by her."
2. Heard Mr. A.D. Tripathi, learned counsel holding brief of Mr. Bhupendra Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner.
3. Mr. A.D. Tripathi, Advocate, submitted that the respondent no.1 Dr. Abhishek Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Gopeshwar, District Chamoli has intentionally not complied with the Order dated 24.03.2025.
4. It is prima-facie case of wilful disobedience of the Order dated 24.03.2025.
5. Notice is being issued to the respondent no.1. He is directed to appear before this Court through video conferencing on 20.03.2026 at 10:30 a.m. and show cause as to why proceedings for contempt of court should not be initiated against him.
6. Mr. A.D. Tripathi, Advocate, has sought two days' time to take steps.
7. Time is granted.
