2. Mr. G.S. Negi, learned Addl. C.S.C. for the State.
3. The petitioner at present is working with respondents as driver on contractual basis since 26.08.2002. He made a prayer for regularization on the said post keeping in view his longstanding contractual appointment. The respondent
-Department has rejected the prayer of petitioner under the hands of District Magistrate, Uttarakashi vide order dated 02.01.2026. It is feeling aggrieved by the aforesaid order, petitioner is before this Court.
4. Let respondents file counter affidavit in the matter within six weeks.
5. List on 20.04.2026 along with WPSS No.471 of 2023.
6. In the meantime, it is provided that services of the petitioner as a driver with the respondent -Department shall not be disturbed.
