                                Vs.

State of Uttarakhand ..... Respondent

Presence:-
   1. Mr. Mohd. Alauddin, Advocate for the applicant through V.C.
   2. Mr. Rakesh Negi, Learned Brief Holder for the State of
      Uttarakhand.

                                             Dated:19.02.2026
Hon'ble Siddhartha Sah, J. (Oral)

By means of the present bail application, the applicant - Shameem Kureshi @ Renna has sought release on bail in connection with FIR/Case Crime No. 28 of 2026, registered under Sections 3/5/11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, at Police Station Laksar, District Haridwar.

2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on file.

3. At the outset, learned counsel for the applicant states that it is a case of parity, since co-accused had already been granted bail in First Bail Application No.161 of 2026.

4. Perusal of the FIR and the bail rejection order dated 23.01.2026 would show that there is nothing to 1 2026:UHC:1102 connect the applicant to the alleged offence as stated in the FIR.

5. Learned State counsel vehemently opposed the bail application, however, he admitted at Bar that the co- accused had already been granted bail and the applicant may be granted bail on the basis of parity.

6. In such view of the matter, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case before the Trial Court, this Court is of the view that the present case is a fit case for grant of bail.

7. The bail application is, accordingly, allowed. The applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Court concerned.
