This writ petition has been filed by petitioner seeking a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to forthwith released petitioner's outstanding bill of Rs.2,41,900/- along with interest @18% per annum from the date of submission of the bill till the date of actual payment.
2. It is the contention of petitioner that the petitioner was given a work order on 18.09.2023, wherein, petitioner has to cover the Maa Nanda Devi Mahotsav 2023 by a documentary film/short film. The said task was completed by the petitioner and the petitioner submitted the final bill of Rs.2,41,900/- to respondent Nos.2 and 3.

The present writ petition has been filed by petitioner on the ground that almost for two and a half year, respondent Nos.2 and 3-Nagar Palika Parishad has not paid the aforesaid amount to petitioner, which he legally entitled to get. It is also 1 2026:UHC:2297 pleaded in the writ petition that the required amount is admissible to petitioner.
4. Per contra, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 submits that Nagar Palika Parishad Nainital is ready to make the payment of principal amount of Rs.2,41,900/- to petitioner, but due to financial crunch in Nagar Palika Parishad, the same could not have been paid.
5. Learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 undertakes that the Nagar Palika Parishad Nainital shall make the payment of principal amount of Rs.2,41,900/- to petitioner within four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
6. On the basis of undertaking given by learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3, this writ petition is finally disposed of. Respondent Nos.2 and 3-Nagar Palika Parishad Nainital is directed to pay the amount of Rs.2,41,900/- to petitioner within four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
