ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed to issue an appropriate writ, order, or direction, more particularly in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct the petitioner's name from "Adhil Khaleel Ahmed" to "Mohammed Abdul Khaleel"

and the date of birth from "25.05.1970" to "06.10.1963" in their records, and consequently to forthwith issue a new passport to the petitioner with the corrected particulars.

2. Heard Sri Polampelli Raju, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Janardhan Goud Sunkari, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government, for the respondents. 2

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner made submissions on the lines of writ affidavit and requested this Court to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2025 as expeditiously as possible.

4. Learned Standing Counsel for Central Government, for the respondents, submits that if the aforesaid petitioner's representation is still pending, the respondent authorities may be directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to consider the aforesaid petitioner's representation, if pending, and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and to communicate the same to the petitioner. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
