ORDER:
In this Writ Petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the service rendered by the petitioner as Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Reserve) for seniority and promotion as given to the similarly situated persons Sri S. Ravi Kumar and Sri P. Srininvas Reddy with all consequential benefits and to pass such other order or orders.
2. Brief facts leading to the filing of the present writ petition are that the petitioner was selected and appointed as Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Reserve) by Direct Recruitment in Hyderabad Range on 26.10.1992 and subsequently, he was selected to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) by direct recruitment in Hyderabad Range on 18.08.1995. Therefore, he was relieved from the duties of Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Reserve) and joined 2 the service of Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) without any break in the service. Subsequently, the petitioner was promoted as an Inspector of Police (Civil) and further promoted as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) in the year 2019 and the petitioner is presently working as Assistant Commissioner of Police, Yadadri Temple, Rachakonda Commissionerate.

It is submitted that the service render by the petitioner as Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Reserve) should be taken into consideration for the purpose of seniority, promotion and for consequential benefits. It is submitted that the similarly placed persons who are senior and junior to the petitioner have approached this Court and this Court had directed the respondents to consider their cases and for considering the services render by them in the earlier position for the purpose of fixing their seniority and for promotion.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has also filed copies of the judgments of this Court in the cases of those persons. It is submitted that the petitioner has also made a 3 representation on 25.11.2022 to the 1st respondent and the same has been forwarded to the 2nd respondent by the 1st respondent vide Memo dated 04.08.2023. It is prayed that a direction be given to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner on par with other similarly placed persons.
5. Mr. M. V. Rama Rao, learned Special Government Pleader for Home is also heard on behalf of the respondents.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2022 has already been considered by the 1st respondent and has been forwarded to the 2nd respondent for taking action thereon in terms of G.O.Rt.No.1351 Home (Services-II) Department, dated 10.07.2023, this Court deems it fit and proper to direct the respondent No.2 to take a decision, in accordance with law and as was taken in the case of similarly placed persons as mentioned by the petitioner in his representation dated 25.11.2022 and to pass appropriate orders thereon within a 4 period of three (03) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall also stand closed.
