COMMON ORDER:
Seeking to declare the action of the respondent No.2 in not
ordering re-engagement with continuity of service, as illegal and arbitrary, the petitioners have filed the present writ petitions.
The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation has stated that the Hon'ble Supreme Court, under similar circumstances, in Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation v. A.U.M.Rao and others1 has denied the benefit of past service to the workman therein.
The learned counsel for the petitioners has not disputed the ratio laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the above referred to judgment relied upon by the learned Standing Counsel.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court referred to above, the writ petitions stand dismissed.
Pending Miscellaneous Petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
