JUDGMENT:      (Per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan)



      None appears for the parties on call.


2.    The writ appeal has been filed by Life Insurance

Corporation of India against the order dated 08.02.2007

passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.2105 of

2007.


3.    As a matter of fact, appellant as the writ petitioner

had filed the related writ petition assailing the directions

issued by the Electoral Registration Officer to spare the

services of the staff of the appellant for election duty for the

general elections of the year 2006. The writ petition was

dismissed, whereafter the writ appeal has been filed.


4.    Considering the fact that the writ petition pertains to

general elections of 2006, the writ appeal has become

infructuous.

5.   Writ appeal is accordingly dismissed as infructuous.


     Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall

stand closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
