CONTEMPT CASE No.986 of 2020
ORDER:
On 02.09.2021, there was no representation for the petitioner. Today also, there is no representation.
2. Alleging that order of this Court in W.P.No.12996 of 2009 dated 22.06.2020 is not complied, this contempt case is filed.
3. By the above said order, the writ petition was disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to make an application to the competent authority enclosing copy of the judgment rendered by the Criminal Court in C.C.No.419 of 2012. On making such application, the competent authority was directed to consider the claim of the petitioner to review the order of dismissal from service duly taking note of the acquittal granted by the Criminal Court and to pass orders by assigning reasons in support of the decision.
4. Learned Standing Counsel for the University produced a photocopy of the decision dated 07.01.2021 rejecting request for reviewing the order of dismissal of the petitioner from service. Challenging the said order, petitioner filed W.P.No.15065 of 2021.
5. In view thereof, the contempt case is closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to prosecute the pending writ petition. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
