1. The present appeal is directed against the order dated

27.12.2019 passed by the learned Single Judge in C.C.No.714 of

2019, filed by the respondents No.1 to 3 with a grievance that the

official respondents had breached/violated the common order dated 26.12.2018 in W.P.No.46869 of 2018 and a batch of writ petitions.

2. At the outset, we have requested from Mr. L. Ravichander, learned Senior Advocate appearing for Mr. S.Goutham, learned counsel for the appellants to address this court on the maintainability of the present appeal in the light of the fact that the appellants were not parties either in the writ petitions or in the contempt petition and further, in view of the statement made by learned counsel for respondents/State before the learned Single Judge that they shall take remedial steps by cancelling the selections made to the posts of Junior Panchayat Secretaries to purge themselves of the contempt and re-do the selection process under the sports quota, strictly in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.74 dated 09.08.2012.

3. Mr. A.Sanjeev Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader informs this court that in compliance with the aforesaid order, the State has already issued G.O.Ms.No.10 dated 27.02.2021 wherein, the L.P.A.No.2 of 2021 Page 1 of 2 2 selections made have been cancelled and notices to show cause have been issued to the appellants and other similarly placed appointees under the sports quota to the posts of Junior Panchayat Secretaries, in the month of March, 2021.

4. After addressing arguments for some time, Mr. L.Ravichander, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the appellants fairly state that he may be permitted to withdraw the present appeal while reserving the right of the appellants to assail G.O.Ms.No.10 dated 27.02.2021 and the notices to the show cause issued by the State pursuant thereto, both on facts and in law.

5. Leave, as prayed for, is granted. The present appeal and the interlocutory applications are disposed of as not pressed, along with the pending applications, if any.
