Learned counsel for the appellant states that the writ petition from which the present appeal has arisen (W.P.No.24430 of 2016) having been rendered infructuous, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present appeal. He, therefore, seeks leave to withdraw the same.

2. Leave, as prayed for, is granted. The present appeal is, accordingly, disposed of as not pressed along with the pending applications, if any.
