1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The present habeas corpus petition has been filed by the father of the corpus Mst. 'L' and it has been alleged that the corpus Mst. 'L' is in illegal detention of Vikram @ Veeraram.
3. In pursuance of the directions issued by this Court, the corpus Mst. 'L' is appeared before us.
4. We have conferred with the corpus Mst. 'L'. She has stated that she is 19 years of age and has studied up to 12 th class, understanding her well being quite well. She has stated that she is (Uploaded on 24/02/2026 at 05:25:19 PM) (Downloaded on 24/02/2026 at 08:53:48 PM) [2026:RJ-JD:9761-DB] (2 of 2) [HC-75/2026] not in illegal detention of respondent No.5 - Vikram @ Veeraram and after solemnizing marriage with the respondent No.5, she is living happily with him. She stated that she does not want to go and live with the present petitioner or any other family members as she was threatened to life by her parents. She has requested us for providing police protection till she and respondent No.5 Veeraram reach their destination at Gujarat.
5. In view of the statements made before us by the corpus Mst. 'L', we are fully convinced that corpus Mst. 'L' is not in illegal detention of respondent No.5. Since the corpus Mst. 'L' is a major lady, understanding her well being quite well, therefore, she is free to go and live at a place of her own choice.
6. The Habeas Corpus Petition is, therefore, fails and the same is hereby dismissed.
7. Since the corpus Mst. 'L' is under the apprehension of dire consequences/threat at the hands of her parents, therefore, learned AAG is directed to provide adequate security to the corpus Mst. 'L' and respondent No.5, till both of them reach at their destination at Gujarat.
