HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE GANESH RAM MEENA Judgment / Order 20/09/2023 The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the prayer to quash and set aside the post of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Vatika, Tehsil Sanganer, District Jaipur, held on 24.01.2015 and further to held fresh election.

As per the provisions of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, the tenure of the Panchayati Raj Institutions including Sarpanch is of five years.

In the present writ petition, the election was held in the year 2015 and the tenure of Sarpanch who was elected on 24.01.2015 (Downloaded on 11/11/2023 at 08:11:59 PM) [2023:RJ-JP:23867] (2 of 2) [CW-2196/2015] has already come to an end in the month of January, 2020 and fresh elections have already been held.

In view of the above, the present writ petition has become infructuous.

Therefore, the present writ petition is dismissed. Since the main petition has been dismissed, all other pending application/s, if any, also stand dismissed.
