JUSTICE VIJAY BISHNOI Order 11/03/2022 Learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon a judgment of Delhi High Court delivered in the case of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat College Vs. National Council for Teacher Education & Anr. [W.P.(C) 8820/2019, decided on 18.10.2019] and four other connected matters, whereby the concerned Regional Committees were directed to reconsider the applications of the writ petitioners in the captioned matters without being burdened by the fact that various State Governments have imposed a ban (Downloaded on 11/03/2022 at 09:00:01 PM) (2 of 2) [CW-2635/2022] on setting up of new institutions and granting recognition to new courses.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits the present writ petition may be disposed of in terms of the directions issued in the case of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat College (supra).

Learned counsel for the respondents Mr. Pooshan for Mr. Vivek Shrimali does not dispute the aforesaid proposition.

In view of the submissions made, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the directions issued in the case of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat College (supra) and it is ordered that the concerned Regional Committee will reconsider the application of the petitioner in the captioned matter without being burdened by the fact that various State Governments have imposed a ban on setting up of new institutions and granting recognition to new courses.

Needless to add, the application will be considered by the NCTE on its own merit as expeditiously as possible, though, not later than twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

Stay petition also stands disposed of.
