The present petition has been filed in the nature of habeas corpus seeking release of detenue namely Ritu wife of the petitioner alleged to be illegally detained by respondents No. 6 to 11.

Mr. Waqar Ahmed Khurshid, Advocate, enters appearance and files power of attorney on behalf of respondents No.4 and 6.

Pursuant to the order dated 19.05.2026 passed by this Court, aforesaid detenue has been produced by the officials.

This Court has interacted with the detenue Ritu who has been identified by the petitioner as well as counsel appearing for private respondents No.4 and 5. She submits that she had solemnised the marriage with Anil-petitioner who is present in the Court and she has expressed her will to reside with him.
