1. Through the instant petition filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short "BNSS"), the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.145 dated 07.12.2025 registered under Sections 118(2), 115(2), 126(2) & 3(5) of Bharatiya Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 at Police Station Mehta, District Amritsar Rural.

2. On 25.02.2026, the following order was passed by the Co-- ordinate Bench of this Court: -

"The The petitioner has filed the instant petition under 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.145 dated 07.12.2025 registered under Sections 118(2), 115(2), 126(2) & 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 at Police Station Mehta, District Amritsar Rural.

CRM-M-6648 6648-2026 2 Status report by way of an affidavit of Sh. Ravinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Sub-Division Division Jandiala, Amritsar (Rural), on behalf of the respondent respondent-State, State, has been filed in the Court today which is taken on record. Copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the pet petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. There is a delay of 47 days in registration of the FIR and the whole family of the petitioner has been made accused in the FIR. He further submits that as a matter of fact on 21.10.2025, the complainant was having evil eye on the wife of the petitioner and he entered into the house of the petitioner and thereafter, he was caught hold by the son of the petitioner and the mother mother of the petitioner, namely Amarjit Kaur, made a call to police helpline i.e. 112 which was registered with ID No.2377245 (Annexure P-2).

He further submits that one of the co accused, namely Rajinder Kaur, has also filed an application co-accused, dated 15.12.2025 to the SSP, Amritsar Rural for conducting an inquiry and for cancellation of the instant FIR. He further submits that the petitioner is not involved in any other case and is ready to join the investigation.
Per contra, learned State counsel, in view of th thee averments made in the status report, vehemently opposes the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, Adjourned to 24.04.2026.
In the meanwhile, arrest of the petitioner shall remain stayed. He shall join the investigation and co co-operate operate with the investigating agency and shall not leave country without prior investigating permission of this Court."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order dated 25.02.2026 passed by the Co-ordinate ordinate Bench of this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation.

4. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions of ASI Balkar Singh, has submitted that the petitioner has ha joined the investigation and is no longer required for further investigation.

5. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the interim order dated 25.02.2026 passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, is made absolute. The petitioner shall continue to join investigation, as and when called by the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS BNSS.
