1. Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to calculate the gratuity of the petitioners by adding DA @ 97% in terms of the circular dated 13.12.1996 13.12.1996, as interpreted in a batch of petitions with a lead case being bei CWP-4995 95 of 1997, Amar Nath Goyal etc. vs. State of Punjab and others, others decided on 03.05.2002, against which SLP was also dismissed on 05.08.2011.
2. In view of the above, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the respondents shall examine the matter and decide the same, taking note of the afore judgment, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
3. The matter stands disposed of accordingly an and if the petitioners are found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith.
