1. Learned counsel would submit that regarding the claim raised in the present petition, a legal notice dated 27.09.2024 (Annexure P-11) has been served upon the respondents by relying on the judgment passed by this Court in Mohinder Singh and others vs. State of Haryana and others, CWP- 22516-2012, decided on 01.04.2013 alongwith other connected petitions, which was upheld by the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide judgment dated 31.01.2017, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner.

3. At the asking of the Court, Ms. Vibha Tewari, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 29-10-2024 00:51:31 ::: Neutral Citation No:=2024:PHHC:139086 CWP-28740-2024 2 to decide the legal notice dated 27.09.2024, taking note of the aforesaid judgments, in accordance with law, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
