1. Petitioner has approached this Court by way of instant writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter-alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue a passport to the petitioner.
2, Advance copy of the writ petition has been served upon the respondents.
3. Ms. Monica Chawla, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.1 and 3. On the basis of an e-mail dated 22.10.2024 received from the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh, she submits that a passport has been issued to the petitioner.
A, Faced with this development, counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition has become infructuous.
