1. Seeking issuance of necessary direc ons to the respondents No.2 to 7 to protect the life and liberty of the pe oner, the pe oner has come up before this Court under Ar cle 226 of Cons tu on of India.
2. Short reply by way of affidavit filed by State counsel is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to counsel for the pe oner. State counsel submits that in pursuance of order dated 14.10.2024, one PSO was granted to the pe oner for one week.
3. Counsel for the pe oner submits that the pe oner apprehends threat from infamous gangster whose name has been men oned as respondent No.8.
4. Given above, the Commissioner of Police to review the threat percep on and if in his opinion, the percep on is found to be true, he may extend the protec on. However, it is clarified that such protec on shall not be granted on the basis of this order, however may be granted on the basis of assessment carried out by the Commissioner of Police and delegated authori es. This order shall eclipse on 08.11.2024. All pending applica ons, if any also stands disposed.
