1. In the present petition, the grievance being raised by the petitioner is that the claim of the petitioner for the grant of Government employment after his land was acquired, was rejected by the respondents vide the order dated 28.07.2014 (Annexure P-4) but thereafter, the same issue has been considered by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court while passing order in CWP No.3398 of 2018 titled "Gaganpreet Singh Vs. State of Punjab and ors." dated 02.05.2024 hence, the respondents are under obligation to re- consider the claim of the petitioner in light of the judgment in Gaganpreet Singh's case (supra).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already raised the said grievance in the representation dated 09.09.2024 (Annexure P-10) but the same is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 26-10-2024 01:11:18 ::: Neutral Citation No:=2024:PHHC:137270 CWP No. 28250-2024 2 direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

Ms. Shruti, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that in case any representation is received at the hands of the petitioner by the respondents for re-considering the impugned order dated 28.07.2014 (Annexure P-4) in light of the judgment in Gaganpreet Singh's case (supra), appropriate order on the said representation will be passed within a period of 8 weeks from the receipt of the representation and in case it is found that, the claim raised by the petitioner is admissible in light of the judgment in Gaganpreet Singh's case (supra), the same will be allowed, otherwise due reasons will be mentioned for not accepting the claim of the petitioner, which will be conveyed to the petitioner.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of the learned State counsel, the present set of petition may kindly be disposed of as having been not pressed any further.
6. Ordered accordingly.
