1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner herein is similarly situated as the appellants in LPA No.518 of 2020 titled as Paramjit Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others hence, keeping in view the judgment dated 24.09.2024 of Division Bench, the claim of the petitioner is liable to be considered by the Department by passing appropriate order.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that appropriate order on the claim of the petitioner will be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of the receipt of the certified copy of this order and the said order will be passed keeping in mind the judgment of the Division Bench in Paramjit Singh's case (supra).

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned counsel for the respondents, the present writ petition may kindly be disposed of as having been not pressed any further.
