1. Petitioner has approached this Court by way of instant writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter-alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to issue a passport to the petitioner.
2. At the outset, counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, a passport has been issued. Accordingly, the writ petition has become infructuous.
3. Pursuant to the previous order passed by this Court, State counsel has placed on record a copy of notification bearing No. 9/19/2014-1GR1 (2GR1)/134 dated 16.04.2021 to submit that user fee/facilitation charges have been levelled for delivery of services through Sewa Kendras and a sum of KAMAL SHARMA 2024.11.07 17:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment High Court, Chandigarh. CWP-25105-2024 -2- Rs.100/- has been prescribed for passport verification, which has been deposited by the petitioner vide receipt, Annexure P-5. The information is taken on record.
4. Petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
