1. The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking directions to respondents to enhance commutation value of their pension as per notification/instructions dated 21.07.1998 (Annexure P-3).

2. The petitioners are claiming that their pension should be commuted applying the multiplier of 15 and 40% of basic pay instead of 33%.

3. Mr. Pawan Kumar, DAG, Punjab pointed out judgment dated 29.08.2002 passed by this Court in T.R. Singla and ors. Vs. State of Punjab and ors. This Court has held that petitioners are not entitled to relief claimed herein and reliance placed upon order of Lok Adalat is misconceived. The intra court appeal i.e. LPA No. 41 of 2003 filed against said judgment stands dismissed vide order dated 22.07.2003.

4. In the wake of aforesaid judgment, the present petition is hereby dismissed.

5. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners, thus, they are at liberty to move an appropriate application, if cause survives.

6. Pending miscellaneous application, if any, shall stand disposed of.
