1. The present revision has been filed against the concurrent judgments of the Courts below convicting the petitioner under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and sentencing him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 6 months along with payment of fine of Rs.500/- and in default of payment of fine to further undergo rigorous imprisonment of 7 days.
2. Counsels are ad idem that the matter now stands settled and in view of the settlement, the amount stands paid to the respondent- complainant and the complainant has agreed to compound the offence committed by the petitioner.
3. Consequently, even while upholding the conviction of the petitioner, this sentence of the petitioner is reduced to that which he has already undergone.
4. In view of the above, present revision stands disposed off.
