1. The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioners who are working as daily wager/work charge employee with the respondents on daily wage and to pay them minimum of pay scale plus dearness allowance plus grade pay.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are entitled to be paid minimum pay scales, dearness allowance, grade pay as also regularization in terms of the judgment of Honble the Supreme Court in State of Punjab and others vs. Jagjit Singh 2017(1) SCC 148 as also the judgment of this Court passed in CWP-19238 of 2013, titled Amrish Sharma and others vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 26.02.2024. 4. Mr. Amarpreet Singh Bains, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 03.12.2022, Annexure P-6, in light of the afore- referred judgments, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
