The petitioner is seeking extension of his parole for a period of 08 weeks.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had been released on parole for a period of 08 weeks and will surrender on 26.03.2024. He also submits that petitioner is suffering from various ailments and has relied upon medical certificate at Annexure P-1.

4. The petitioner has been convicted and sentenced by judgment and order of sentence dated 29.03.2023 in FIR No.108 dated 28.04.2020 registered at Police Station Gate Hakima, District Amritsar and to undergo imprisonment along with fine as under:-

KAPIL 2024.03.22 16:09 | attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-2646-2024 2 We have perused the documents at Annexure P-1 but in our considered view they cannot be relied upon to extend the period of parole as these documents are from private hospital and they only indicate that he is under treatment for depression and bronchitis. The ailments indicated in these documents do not appear to be that serious to warrant the extension of parole at this stage.
5. Consequently, we do not find any merit in this petition at this stage. The petition stands dismissed at this stage.
