1. Learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset states that he does not wish to press the present revision petition on merits. He, however, states that since the petitioner is running his business in the demised shop since 1979 he may be granted some reasonable time to vacate the same. It is further the contention that the rent is due from the year 2008 and that the petitioner is willing to clear all the arrears of rent as also to pay the future rent.

2. Learned counsel for respondent No.1 on instructions from respondent No.1, who is present in Court, states that he would have no objection if the reasonable time is granted to the petitioner to vacate the demised shop.

3. In view of the above, the present revision petition is disposed off with a direction that the petitioner would hand over peaceful vacant JITENDER KUMAR 2024.03.24 09:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CHANDIGARH CR No.1736 of 2024 -2- 2024:PHHC:042287 possession of the premises in question to the landlord-respondent No.1 on or before 31.03.2025. Meanwhile, the entire arrears of rent from 2008 till date be cleared within a period of three months from today. The petitioner shall also continue to pay the admitted rate of rent by the 7th of every month till the time he hands over the vacant possession of the premises in question. Since the petitioner is not present in Court, an undertaking to this effect shall be filed before the Rent Controller concerned within a period of 15 days from today. In case the undertaking is not filed within a period of 15 days the present revision petition shall be deemed to having been dismissed and the respondent-landlord would be at liberty to proceed in accordance with law.

4. The present revision petition is disposed off in the above terms. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
