1 The instant revision petition has been filed challenging the impugned judgment and sentence dated 13.02.2020 passed by JMIC, SAS Nagar Mohali in complaint NACT No.262 dated 09.09.2017 under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, which has been affirmed in appeal by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar, Mohali vide judgment dated 14.02.2024.

2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have settled the amount and the petitioner has paid the settlement amount.

3 Mr. K.S.Rathour, Advocate has entered appearance on behalf of respondent-complainant and has admitted the above mentioned fact.

4 Learned counsel for the petitioner thus prays for compounding of the offence and allowing the revision petition in terms of the settlement.

6 In view of the admitted fact that the settlement stands arrived at between the parties and the petitioner has already performed his part by paying the settlement amount and the complainant has agreed to compound the offence, present revision petition is allowed.

7 The offence committed by the petitioner punishable under Section 138 of the NI Act is ordered to be compounded.

8 Since the main case has been decided, the pending miscellaneous application, if any, also stands disposed off.
