1. The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondent- Bank to continue him on the post of Sub Staff/PTS.

2. The petitioner joined Andhra Bank on temporary basis. The Andhra Bank came to be amalgamated with Union Bank of India on 05.03.2020 (Annexure P-1).

3. Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that respondent- Bank has not issued any advertisement for the appointment of part time Sweepers/Sub Staff on permanent basis. There are few petitioners who have already been terminated or they have left the job. Both sides concede that case of the petitioners is squarely covered by order 30.11.2023 passed by this Court in Bunch of petitions titled as 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 23-03-2024 13:38:05 ::: Neutral Citation No:=2024:PHHC:041222 CWP-15462-2021 2 2024:PHHC:041222 Sanjay Kumar Vs. Punjab National Bank and others in CWP No.18893 of 2023. They also concede that case of employees who are still working with bank is covered by order dated 30.11.2023 passed by this Court in a Bunch of petitions titled as Ranjeet Singh and others Vs. National Institute of Technology and others in CWP No.8612 of 2020.

In the light of statements of both sides and judgment dated 30.11.2023 passed by this Court in Sanjay Kumar (Supra) and order dated 30.11.2023 passed in Ranjeet Singh and others (Supra), the petitions stand disposed of with a direction that the candidates who at present are working with respondent- Bank would continue to work till they are replaced by regular employees or any misconduct is found on their part or Bank concludes that in view of changed circumstances, there is no work which can be assigned to the petitioners. The petitions with respect to employees who have already been terminated or have left the job are hereby dismissed.
