HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI J. (ORAL)

1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the present writ petition, the petitioner was claiming regularization in service from the date of completion of 240 days in terms of the Policy dated 19.02.1979 (Annexure P-4) of the Government which was relied in the case of other similarly situated employees to grant the benefit of regularization.

2. Learned State counsel submits that the Policy of 1979 has already been withdrawn and even the judgment of this Court giving directions to grant regularization on completion of 240 days, has already been set aside by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No.2979 of 1992 titled as State of Haryana vs. Piara Singh, decided on 12.08.1992.
