CM-4547-CWP-2024 Allowed as prayed for and the main case is taken up on Board today itself.

Main Case

1. The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, for directing the respondent to refix the salary of the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.2016 and release the arrears of revised salary to him.

2. Learned counsel submits that a direction be issued to respondent No.1, to take final decision upon the legal notice of the petitioner in view of the recommendations of respondent-University to refix his salary w.e.f. 01.01.2016 to 11.12.2017. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to respondent No.1 to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting him an opportunity of hearing.
