The prayer in the present Criminal Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a roving writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to release the alleged detenue-Hardev Singh from the illegal custody of respondent Nos.2 and 3.

Short reply by way of an affidavit of Ms. Neha Aggarwal, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Circle Samana, District Patiala, has been filed by learned State counsel and the same is taken on record.

While referring to the said reply, learned State counsel contends that appropriate action has been initiated against the ASI Ram Lal 2757/PTA and SC Amninder Singh 949/PTA.

KUSUM 2024.03.13 17:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment Punjab & Haryana High Court, CHD CRWP-8802-2023 -2- As regards the complaint filed by the complainant namely Rajinder Pal against the Hardev Singh is concerned, it has been found that the said complaint was erroneous and baseless, consequent to which proceedings under Section 182 have been initiated against the said complainant-Rajinder Pal.

In view of the above, no further order is required to be passed by this Court.
