1. The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No.3 and 4 to conclude the enquiry in the petitioner's complaint/representation dated 22.12.2023 (Annexure P-5) as ordered by respondent No.2 vide letter bearing Endorsement No.594, dated 19.01.2024 (Annexure P-6), in terms of order dated 22.12.2023 (Annexure P-4), passed by this Court in CWP NO.29334 of 2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that earlier the petitioner has approached this Court by way of Civil Writ Petition No.29334 of 2023 which came to be disposed of vide order dated 22.12.2023, wherein, liberty was granted to the petitioner to file a representation for redressal of his grievance before the District Development and Panchayat Officer, District SBS Nagar. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance of the aforesaid liberty granted to him by this Court, he has HIMANI GUPTA 2024.07.03 14:25 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh CWP-14510-2024 -2- already submitted a representation dated 22.12.2023 (Annexure P-5) to the Director, Rural Development and Panchayats, SAS Nagar, Mohali (Punjab), whereupon the enquiry has already been marked to respondent No.4-Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, District SBS Nagar (Punjab). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if time bound directions are issued to the effect that the enquiry which is marked to respondent No.4 on his representation dated 22.12.2023 (Annexure P-5) be decided in a time bound manner.

At this stage, Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who has appeared on behalf of respondent/State in this case, pursuant to the advance copy of petition having been sent to him, does not raise any dispute with regard to the aforesaid course of action as suggested by learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned State counsel submits that the concerned Officer shall make his earnest endeavor to complete the enquiry within a period of four months from today.

4. In view of the aforementioned circumstances, the instant petition stands disposed of.

5. All pending application(s), if any, shall also stand closed.
