On 02.04.2024, following order was passed by this Court:-
"The respondent was an agent of the LIC. Her agency was terminated, which was challenged by the said respondent-plaintiff by filing a suit for declaration. The suit was decreed by the Trial Court. Appeal filed by the appellants-defandants was dismissed. This judgment is against the concurrent findings of both the Courts below. Learned counsel for the appellants submits that now respondent must be about 70 years of age and that she may not be interested in continuing with the agency. Learned counsel also submits that because of the stay, respondent is not working as an agent of the LIC for the last more than 30 years.
Ms. Meghna, Advocate has appeared and submits that she will file the fresh power of attorney on behalf of the respondent. She also seeks time, so as to obtain necessary instructions from the respondent as to whether she would still want to continue as an agent of the appellants.
Adjourned to 24.04.2024."
Today, fresh power of attorney has been filed by Ms. Meghna Nehra on behalf of the respondent. Learned counsel for the respondent makes a statement that respondent is no longer interested in working as an agent of Appellant - LIC.
