State counsel has placed on record a xerox copy of the communication dated 29.01.2024 received from the office of Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda along with copy of judgment dated 21.01.2008 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Bathinda in case FIR No.300 of 18.12.1999 of Police Station Kotwali, Bathinda to submit that respondents have been convicted in the criminal trial. He has instructions to state that since, respondent No.1 has expired, the appeal has become infructuous.
