RAJBIR SEHRAWAT, J. (Oral)
1. This is a contempt petition filed under Sections 10 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India, for punishing the respondents for disobeying the order dated 18.01.1995 passed in CWP-11738-1988; dated 12.12.2007 passed in CWP-2071-1986 and dated 10.10.2007 passed in CWP-5816- 1994.
2. Counsel for the respondents submits that the present petition is totally frivolous, as has been filed without there being any basis. The petitioners had joined the services only in 2020 or thereafter. Therefore, there is no question of the petitioners being entitled to any pay scale retrospectively in terms of the order/judgment dated 18.01.1995 rendered in CWP-11738-1988.
3. The fact that the petitioners were appointed only in 2020 or thereafter, has not been even disputed by counsel for the petitioners.
4. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed being totally frivolous.
