1. The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 09.11.2021 (Annexure P-2) whereby Disciplinary Authority has dismissed him from the service.

2. Concededly the petitioner filed appeal before the Appellate Authority which came to be dismissed. The petitioner has further filed mercy petition before Home Secretary and said petition is still pending.

3. Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab who on advance notice notice is present in the Court, assures the Court that the mercy petition of the petitioner shall be disposed of, within six weeks from today, in accordance with law.
