By way of present appeal, challenge has been laid to the judgment dated 26.09.2019 passed by the Sessions Judge, Rupnagar, whereby the appellant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of five years along with fine of Rs.50,000/- and in default of payment of fine to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for three months under Section 382 IPC and to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of ten years along with fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of payment of fine to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for one month under Section 379-B IPC. Both the sentences have been ordered to run concurrently. Along with present appeal, an application for condonation of delay of 810 days in filing the present appeal has also been filed as well as applications for stay of recovery of fine and suspension of sentence during pendency of the present appeal has been filed.
At the very outset, learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant does not wish to pursue the present appeal and seeks to withdraw the present appeal along with the pending applications Dismissed as withdrawn.
