1. The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, for directing the respondents to provide two promotional opportunities to the petitioners for generating efficiency in service and fosters the appropriate attitude to grow for achieving excellence in service.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such.
