Reply by way of an affidavit of Ranjit Singh, P.P.S., Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nawanshahar, Sub Division, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar filed on behalf of State is taken on record.
2. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Joginder Pal apprised the Court that petitioner Tirath Singh son of Najjar Singh stands acquitted by the trial Court in this very case vide judgment dated 02.12.2022 and he produced copy of the said judgment which is taken on record.
3. Learned State counsel further submits that in light of the above, the present petition has become infructuous.
4. Counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that the present petition be disposed of in view of the aforesaid statement made by the State counsel.
5. The present petition is hereby dismissed having been rendered infructuous.
