1. The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to the respondents to count the service rendered as daily wage service for qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that case of the petitioners is squarely covered by Division Bench judgment dated 31.08.2010 (Annexure P-4) of this Court in Harbans Lal v. State of Punjab, CWP No.2371 of 2010.

3. Mr. Aman Dhir, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that in terms of judgment of Division Bench of this Court in Harbans Lal (supra), the respondent- authorities in the case of various officials have considered their claim and 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 04-04-2024 05:30:21 ::: Neutral Citation No:=2024:PHHC:044444 2024:PHHC:044444 CWP-7456-2024 -2- passed orders. He further asserts that appropriate authority would consider case of the petitioners in terms of judgment of Division Bench of this Court in Harbans Lal (supra) and pass an appropriate order within three months from today.
