GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral)
It has been informed that all the PWs already stand examined and the matter is now at the stage of recording statement of accused under the provisions of Section 313 Cr.P.C. and he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner does not intend to lead any evidence in his defence and that even in case any evidence is to be led it shall be led in the shortest possible time and that some directions may be issued for expeditious disposal of the trial.
In view of the aforestated submission, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn with a direction to the trial Court to take all necessary steps, as may be possible, so that the trial is concluded at the earliest. It is directed that as and when evidence is concluded by the accused the trial shall be concluded within 15 days thereafter.
