1. The petitioners have filed the instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to count the service rendered by the petitioners on the post of Work Mistri on contract basis before their regularization in the Municipal Corporation, Amritsar and to treat them under the Old General Provident Fund Scheme which was applicable to the employees recruited in Punjab Government service prior to 01.01.2004.

2. Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the present writ petition is squarely covered by the judgment passed by this Court in CWP No.2371 of 2010, titled as 'Harbans Lal Vs. State of Punjab', decided on 31.08.2010 as well as LPA No.666 of 2022 and other connected appeals, titled as 'Municipal Council, Qadian Vs. Musthaq 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 03-04-2024 00:16:49 ::: Neutral Citation No:=2024:PHHC:043022 2024:PHHC:043022 CWP-8350-2018 -2- Masih and others', decided on 21.12.2023.

3. Consequently, the instant writ petition is allowed in the same terms as in CWP No.2371 of 2010.
